Wow, it was so good to talk to you yesterday! Sorry I seemed like kind of a boring person to talk to and that I didn’t seem to have anything interesting to say. I tried to make sure I talked to everyone. Hehe, there’s a lot of us. Rosie is SO CUTE! And I can’t wait to hold her and play with her when I get back.
Everybody looks……bigger. I mean the kids anyway. Eve and Patrick, and Mom and Dad, you don’t look bigger, I promise. 😊
I never would have thought a year ago that I’d be spending my next Christmas in Wales. It was a different experience going for a walk along the coast on Christmas Day and looking out at the ocean, feeling a sea breeze, instead of snow. It was absolutely beautiful and I made sure to suck it in because I’m probably never going to do that at Christmas ever again. I’ll send you some pictures and videos.
I’ve been waiting for the homesickness to set in because of the call home for the past week, and it hasn’t happened yet. President Leppard predicted it would, but I feel totally fine. In fact, I actually feel more motivated after talking to you. I feel great! Which is so good, because I was scared I was going to relive that whole awful first three months experience. 😭🤕😰😭🙁 But we’re all good 👌🏼
This week is going to be insane because we aren’t even going to be in our area for three days out of the week, because of the Cheltenham conference, exchanges, and mid-trainers meeting. The zone leaders are going to be gone for about five days and we’re supposed to be taking care of their investigators, but we’re not going to have time for theirs, let alone ours! Looks like Elder Varner and Elder Sinclaire are going to be busy this week! And it’s the last week of the transfer! One transfer let until the time just gets shorter to coming home. Ah! 😱 I’m kinda scared. But I don’t have to worry about that for a while. I just know once it hits 2017 it’s going to fly by.
Oh man, this video. Okay, you won’t believe the amount of chocolate and sweets we got from people. Literally, it’s so much, and we don’t even know what to do with it, because neither of us really want to eat it, my headache thing has started again where if I eat more than a little sugar I get a back migraine, so it’s not like I CAN eat it, even if I wanted to. Whew! I can’t wait until summer again and I’ll get skinny because I’ll be riding a bike again. As much as I got saddle sore, I miss it.
I love the pass along cards you made, Mom! Haha, it was so weird to look at a card that I give dozens of out every day, and see my mothers face on it.
Hehe, so like five months ago I bought a speaker for my iPod, and whenever the battery is low a voice says “low battery”. So last night we were laying up in or loft talking and I guess we left the speaker on and the battery was running low, so it said “low battery”, but the volume was really low, so it sounded like someone was whispering. I knew what it was when I heard it, but Sister Romero didn’t, so all the sudden she sat up and went, “What was that? I just heard a voice. Sister Wadz, I seriously heard someone downstairs!” She scrambled out of her bed and jumped into mine and snuggled up right next to me and started throat-squealing. So I pretended that I didn’t know what it was either, and I know I’m so mean, but it was really fun. She was quivering, and giggling, and then I squealed, and it scared her, so she screamed. So she was mad at me. So I said I would go down and check it out. So I walked to the stair and then screamed again. She flipped out and pulled my blanket over her, and I just died laughing while she continued to scream. I’m such a meanie! Why do I find such joy in torturing people? So we died down while she got mad at me, and then the phone rang and we BOTH screamed. Now, that loft is small, and with two full-on terrified screams in there, my eardrums just about snapped. I guess that’s what I get for playing it up and scaring her. We laughed so hard and for so long we couldn’t even answer the phone the whole time it rang.
Boxing Day is football day for the ward here.
British people are VERY good at football, aka soccer. They are super competitive, so I decided not to play, because it was a bunch of young men who were getting really tough. You could definitely tell who were the Americans on the team. Afterward we had to go play a game of basketball to redeem ourselves.
Kayleigh is so awesome and she helped me so much sorting out the call. She’s going to get her Patriarchal Blessing in January, and she’s a ward missionary now, so we get to be with her most of the time. And she’s probably going on a mission next year after she goes to the temple! I can’t believe I’ve been able to see her conversion and take part in it. She’s just a living miracle, just born to do great things. We got to talk for an hour this morning while Sister Romero skyped her family, and she has a testimony that is just so strong that I can’t believe she’s only been in the church for two months.
I got the package from Grandpa and Grandma Ventura and I loved it!
I hope you have a wonderful day and enjoy the rest of 2016. Love you!
