I got the Easter package!!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Sister Price and I both got our Easter packages on the same day, so we had a lot of fun going through everything and exchanging gifts that our moms sent for the other. Haha, Sister Price’s mom sent me some Girl Scout cookies, and I can’t even share them with her because she’s allergic to them! Oh, and thank you for the music!!! I love all the Celtic ones 😊 Sister Price knows how to Celtic dance, so she’s been trying to teach me, needless to say, I’m no dancer of any sort.
The weather has been getting a lot nicer lately too. Hehe, one thing I forgot to mention in last week’s email was that one afternoon we rode out to Kinver and we’re getting ready to cycle back when all the sudden we had a really strong impression to not cycle back. It was dark already, and it was getting later, it was pouring rain, and FREEZING! So we were kinda stumped at what Heavenly Father wanted us to do, because it wasn’t like we could stay the night there, there are no members out that way, and no busses ran that late at night. So we ended up calling the bishop and his wife came out and we shoved the bikes in the back of her car and used a bike lock to hold the trunk down because it wouldn’t close. Then I rode in the back with the bikes. Here’s a video of me right next to the road. (sorry it’s sideways)
My goodness, this week has been full of way ups and way downs. We had a great week and felt the Spirit a lot. We did a LOT of biking and sweating, and a lot of traveling.
We went on exchanges and I got to go back to Harborne! But unfortunately Sister Price’s grandma died during the night, so it has been very hard for her, because she was really close to her.
But then we had Conference, which was SO GOOD! AND! We fasted again a couple of weeks ago for help in our area, and on exchange two of the STLs in different areas served in Stourbridge before me, so they gave me a big list of people they knew previously whom they say have a lot of potential, so that was also an answer to our prayers.
In Harborne we went and taught a Muslim family who was very friendly and very sweet, and the mom gave me baby boy booties that she had knitted, and told me they were for my baby when I had my first one. 😱 oh my word, it was so sweet!
I loved Conference!!!! As always. It just gives me so much peace knowing that we have living guidance on the earth today. We watched it at the stake centre in Harborne with the zone, so we had to stay there the whole day because it was too far to go back between sessions. So we took our lunches and stuff. But in between sessions after lunch the APs had the idea to do some zone tracting for a while, which ended up being pretty fun. It was cool how much more powerful we all felt with so many missionaries with the spirit.
I haven’t been able to see the women’s session or the Sunday afternoon session yet, but that is so cool that Elder Cook quoted Uncle Bryant’s obituary. That’s so weird because for some reason I was thinking about him this week, and at conference in between sessions one of the Elders asked me to teach him how to do family History with the app on the iPad, and when I was looking through it Uncle Bryant’s picture popped up! And then going back on one of our lines I found this elder’s surname so we looked it up on his and we’re related! Not sure how, haha. This was way back in like the 1600s.
Also, a few weeks ago I met Patrick’s cousin Tye. Haha, I didn’t know he was a missionary here until he walked up to me and said, “Sister Wadsworth, I’ve met you before!” And I just kinda looked at him because I totally didn’t recognise the guy, and I was like, “….Really? Wheeeeeere….?” And he said, “At the wedding.” And I said, “Hehe…..WHAT wedding?!” And then he said, “Your sister is Eve, right? And she married Patrick?” And I was just like, “Yeah, who are you?” And he just laughed and said, “I’m Patrick’s cousin!” Haha, so we tried to figure out our relationship. I think we’re cousins-in-law? I don’t even know.
We also rode a LOT this week. I put on my jeans this morning because we were going hiking, and the thighs are getting pretty tight since my muscles have been growing again.
We’re planning on having a good week this week! I don’t have a good picture to send you, but here is one on exchange before Conference.
Love you all!
