Last week we went running and then my companion locked the keys in the flat so we had to climb through the window. It was funny! It was a good last week as a threesome.
I booked my driving theory test for Cardiff on the 21st of July. Hopefully I pass!
We watched a DVD with a member for FHE called Sacred Walls, all about the symbols of the temple. I learned SO MUCH about the temple and the symbolism on the outside of it. I don’t know if you’ve seen it, but if you haven’t, definitely get it and watch it! I’d love to watch it another five times through just because there’s so much to learn from it. It talked about the inverted star being a symbol of Christ. It also talked about Venus being the first light in the morning and the last light in the evening, and it is a symbol of Christ because He is the First Light. I guess I’ve never considered that name of Christ before, but He is the First Light.
I’m excited to train again as well. Haha, at least I think I am! It’s different than last time. This time I’m just basically ready to do anything. No shame! New place where no one knows me or anything. There are at least four other sets of missionaries in the Ward already though, so I can’t imagine they will be too terribly thrilled that we are there. Rhiwbina and Cardiff used to be two different wards, but they combined them a little while ago, so now all the Cardiff missionaries, Rhiwbina missionaries, Pontypridd missionaries, and I think the Bridgend missionaries are all in the same district, and the Cardiff and Rhiwbina missionaries are in the Cardiff Ward together. So I’m in Cardiff, but the outskirts. I’ve always wanted to serve in Cardiff though!
So I told the zone leaders on Thursday that I was leaving because they were going to MCL on Friday. So I packed one of my suitcase all full of my books and stuff and then early Friday morning the zone leaders came on their way to MLC and picked up my bike and my suitcase and took it to MLC and gave it to the Cardiff zone leaders, who are going to be in my district, and then they took it to Wales. So one of my bags and my bike are already in Wales! So I just have to take my other suitcase and my girl! I’ll leave on a train at 8am Tuesday morning and then get to the mission home at 10am and then we’ll see where it goes from there.
I’ve loved the area (Stourbridge) for making me stronger and building me into a bigger, better person and teaching me so many things. I think I’ve learned more here than in any other area, and I’m grateful that God trusted my strength enough to give me hardships like that.
