Our area is Cardiff City Centre. Our flat is literally just above the city Centre, but a lot of the time we go to outlying areas. Our two baptism dates live super far out on opposite sides of the Ward boundaries so that’s fun. We biked quite a lot this week and my legs are sore, and they haven’t been sore in like seven or eight months so that says something about how far we went. We stretched while we did weekly planning yesterday because we were so stiff. A couple days ago we cycled to this village and it wasn’t super far, but it was really windy and then it started raining, so it was really hard to cycle, and when we got back our legs hurt really bad, and they still hurt yesterday as well. My legs are forever going to be tired out here!
It’s supposed to rain a LOT this week apparently, according to some members so that’ll be fun! It does it in spurts throughout the day, so it’s sunny, then it gets dark and rains, and the wind is constantly blowing super hard all of the time. I’m personally not looking forward to being wet all week long, but oh well! I’ve done it before! I suppose I shall never be dry and warm until I get home, and that’s okay.
Oh my goodness, the elders just talked at me for 30 minutes straight about how I need to start praying about and preparing for marriage and it really stressed me out. Three of them at once! My hair looks awful all of the time. I’m going to have to learn how to do it properly again when I come back home, and my make-up and all that. I haven’t even worn makeup since I’ve been back in Wales. I wore it to conferences, but that’s it. I’ll put some eye makeup on most days, but that’s about it, I just can’t be bothered to do much more, so I’m gonna need to get the hang of it again. It probably isn’t good for a sister missionary, but I feel like it just gets wrecked in the rain anyway!
Our week was WAY up and WAY down, and there were a lot of miracles and a lot of the opposite, but I think I’ve learned through it all to just trust God because He can do anything. Once I’ve done everything in my power I don’t have to worry about it anymore. In a way, that’s super relieving, because you can just let things go and not worry about anything. You don’t have to beat yourself up about things.
This week we got a referral for a girl so we went and saw her, and she is on a date to get baptised on October 14th, so hopefully that will go through as well. Right now we have two people scheduled to get baptised this transfer, and it’s great, but busy, and haha, I’ve never had more than one on a date at a time, so it’s pretty stressful, but I know it’ll all work out somehow!
I’m working on Christlike attributes for the last weeks of my mission again. So last week I did faith and hope, and this week I’m doing charity and love.
On that note, I love YOU! I’m so grateful you taught me about the Gospel ❤
