What a week! I was so sad to see Sister Price go on Tuesday, but she has completed her mission with honour and deserved to return home with excitement, even though I would have kept her with me if I could have! She is a wonderful person and I love her so much!
Now I am with Sister Koivisto and Sister Prasad, still in Stourbridge! Being in a trio has been so much fun this last week. Missionary work definitely works differently in a threesome, but it still works. The flat isn’t even that squishy either. It’s a little tight, but isn’t bad at all. We just keep a fan going in the bedroom at night so that we don’t get too hot with all of us in there. A schedule just naturally worked itself out for our showers and stuff.
We did a lot of finding this week. Tracting and lessons tend to work well because there is always someone to say something. We also did a LOT of biking and it’s been HOT in England this past week! I’m a couple of shades tanner than I was last Monday and I’ve got even more freckles coming out! Thankfully no one has had an accident with the canal yet on the bikes. However, I don’t think I’d complain if it happened to me. With how hot it is and how sweaty we get riding all day, I wouldn’t mind a dip in the water. 😉 It’s been really, really hot here last week and it’s making us all really exhausted. I’m handling it a lot better than all the others though because I grew up in the desert and the sun, but most of the others are finding it really hard. Poor Sister Koivisto is getting really bad headaches every day from the sun and the heat.
My provisional license got to the mission office today, so now I have to take the theory test. This is the part I have to study for a lot, and then once I pass it I’ll have to take driving lessons, probably from the bishop, and then take the practical test.
My district is even more culturally diverse than last transfer. I am the only American, and then we have, Brazil, Italy, France, Mexico, Finland, Taiwan, and Fiji. This week we have an elder from Germany waiting here for his trainee to come tomorrow, and then he will leave, and we will get another sister with Sister Chen. I’m PRAYING she is American! There are more Americans in this mission than the other missions in Britain, so only one “Yank” in an eight-person district is rare. And during the transfer when Independence Day is too! 😭 Just kidding, I’ll survive. But this girl was born and bred in the promised land!
I love you all so very, very much, and miss you more than you know. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family, one that I consider to be the best in the whole world, and it’s because of each and every person in it. You are all the world to me because it is through Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and Their Gospel that we all have each other forever.
I know that families are unceasingly eternal. I know that Heavenly Father loves us, and I know that His Plan is unwaveringly perfect in every detail. I trust Him with all of my heart. I also know that He fully intends for us to be happy here in mortality, and I know that it’s possible through His Son Jesus Christ and His Gospel Plan. If we aren’t happy now, we can change that of our own accord. I know if we choose to be happy, we will be, and that’s all there is to it. We are a happy family!!!
I love you!
